Happy Mother's Day!

First and foremost, Happy Mother's Day to all Moms & Moms-to-be! The title of this post said it all, that's all about Mother's Day and my mom's birthday celebration. Due to my mom's birthday also fall in May, so we decided to make them in one celebration. Do share with me how how you celebrate this meaningful day with your parents, family and especially your moms! It's quite"meh" that someone will eventually popping out and saying that "show your love to your mom not on facebook/instagram", "you should love your mom everyday not only today" and blablabla.... I do agree what they said because yes it's true. But partially, I disagree with the statement. What I think is, for me, Mother's Day is a special day or celebration honoring motherhood. It's a day or time where you can show your love and appreciation towards your mom. Now, let's think again this few questions below...

Are you telling your mom you love her every single day?! NO. If you answer yes, then are you really speaking out your heart, or just for the sake of saying lol. Do you spend 30 minutes or more chatting/message to her like you talk to your bf gf everyday?! NO. If you answer yes, I would say you're a good child, if you didn't end up arguing with her. Do you help your mom to do house chores everyday?! NO, because you will just tend to do your part, your bedroom, wash your clothes and settle your meals, not doing anything else not related to you in the house. So many questions (which I think I should do another post for it or else it would be very long paragraph haha) but what's your answer?! I think most of us didn't show our love and say how much we appreciate our moms everyday, but deep in our heart I believe everyone of you are really thankful to moms (& dads, of course haha) and what they have given to us. So, why don't just use this special day to confess your love towards your mom, which I believe you surely have the guts to confess to your gf or bf during valentine lol. True huh?! Haha!

Since I able to earn money by myself, I buy presents or flowers to my moms on Mother's Day and birthday. It's nearly impossible a girl or a woman doesn't like surprise, flowers, and gifts. People always said that flowers are useless yet expensive, but I think it depends. If you can afford then maybe you can buy a bouquet. If you're not, then it's good to have one too. Different flowers carry different meanings. Carnations often used to convey admiration, show gratitude, and express deeper sentiments of love. To this day, carnation remain my favorite flower choice. For my mom's birthday, I will buy her something that she will used everyday like lipsticks, perfume, skincare etc. Not creative, not anything fancy. But I guess she will like everything we gift her.


My sister, brother and I decided to treat them a great dinner and we brought my mom & dad to fine dine in restaurant. My parents definitely can afford fine dining, but what they want actually is the time that we spent together. Additional, we bring them to explore more tasty food in town, because they are not so updated like us the younger generation. Just like I hang out with my babe gf to go cafe hopping in town, they want us to do that with them too! Action speaks louder than words. It's usually the small little things that matter the most.

This time we decided to dine in Babylon Beach Blanket @ 32 Mansion. It was rated as one of the best fine dining restaurant in Penang, so we brought them to go and had a try. Babylon Beach Blanket Cafe is actually the outdoor sitting of 32 Mansion. They served the same dining menu with 32 Mansion (available from 7pm-10pm) also their own cafe menu which is very affordable. If you fancy nice decorations, great ambiance and indoor sitting with air-conditional, then you can choose to dine in 32 Mansion. You can call for reservation because normally it's fully booked on weekend or closed for private parties.

Babylon Beach Blanket @ 32 Mansion is just a stroll from E&O Hotel. This spot overlooks the beach! It is a perfect place to relax, chill and enjoy the breeze by the seaside. Cocktails, music, sea breeze...another hidden gem of Penang!






It's such a long post and I hope you all don't mind. I write it with all my heart! You guys prefer long or short one?! Haha.... Hey, not just that day I brought my parents out to dinner, and buy only flowers and gifts. After all, you shouldn't just show your love for one and only day out of 365 day whole year right?! Lol...
