Pit Stop Cafe, The Alley, Sip & Chew Cafe; Last day out with #tekungang!

12:48 AM

That day was our last final exam paper in our university life!! I did not do my very best though, abit careless about the question and answer, but whatever I don't care! *say only but still care lol* This time was our last day hang out together so there we go! Stomach starves so hard after the exam, so without any delaying, we went food hunting around Georgetown area in Penang.

1.) Pit Stop Cafe @ Chulia Lane, Penang
Address: 12, Chualia Lane, 10200 Georgetown, Penang.
Our first destination. I am quite outdated already, cause like everybody tried but not me. This was my first time visit!  Located at the intersection of Chulia Lane and Market Lane, Pit Stop no. 12 is a quaint and humble cafe among all the others cafes. I shall write captions along the photos, easier! Hehe.

Pit Stop situated at the corner of the shop lots.
Spotted "roomates" in the reflection of the door.

Quite small spaces and not much seats available, especially lunch hour.

Such a nice and relaxing places for afternoon!

The kitchen.

Feel like transported to the older days with its retro antiques.

Business Hours: 9am-6pm, Daily.
Pit Stop offers all day breakfast set, pasta, sandwiches and pancakes.
Very less variety to choose but the prices quite reasonable.

Carbonara with Bacon (Strongly Recommend)
Smell good and taste good! Suit for one person portion.
Generally we will get greasy when eat too much carbonara because of the sauce,
but this one I never feel any and I can eat whole plate myself.

Big Breakfast with Sunnyside (Strongly Recommend)
Serves with hash brown, bacon and salmon.
Super like the Sunnyside double eggs! You can choose scramble or sunnyside.

The #tekungang
Xiao Yen, Wan Theng, yours truly and Sheau Jeng!
We share the portion cause we have to left some spaces for other food!
No service charge and government tax! We headed to another destination.

2.) The Alley @ Stewart Lane, Penang
Address: 5, Stewart Lane, 10200 Georgetown, Penang.
The Alley is hidden in the heart of Georgetown. Why I said *hidden*?! Me and my friends was trying to find it along the Stewart Lane but we spot nothing...and the google maps shown that it is just beside the roadside! Finally we found it, where it is situated at the narrow lane next to the famous Guan Yin Teng. It has very unappealing exterior making people hard to realize and locate it. And you will end up thinking all the shop lots, including it are all the same...haha! Finally we found it, and it didn't disappointed us. Churros and cronuts offered are really nice, and heard them have brew nice coffee too!

Very hard to spot it and you might thought its all the shops alike around it.
Business Hours: 12pm to 12am. Opens Daily.

Just beside the narrow lane.

Nice and comfy!
Limited seats available, you might have to wait for the table.

Their menu. Click the images to view larger.

Order and pay at counter, and food will serve to your table.

Okay, you can start to take pictures while waiting the food to be served.

It is us again! *blek!*

Churros with nutella - small (Recommend)
Taste just nice and yummy! If you have eaten churros from other places,
then this one is quite tiny compared, as I have ate more larger size one.

Tropical Punch (Recommend)
Soda and lemonade. Well mix! But I think it is overpriced.

Cronuts - Caramel (Strongly Recommend)
This taste like heaven! Haha! It means taste awesome and good!
Super like! It is a must try!

Post the vain photo of two of us... Haha!

3.) Sip & Chew Cafe @ Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling, Penang
Address: 72, Jalan Masjid Kapitam Keling, 10200 Georgetown, Penang.
Located a few doors away from Masjid Kapitan Keling, and also the famous Guan Yin Teng Temple, Sip & Chew Cafe is a little cafe which serves pasta, sandwiches, and variety of main course cooked in various way. It also offers desserts, snacks and beverages. Its interior is very simple, neat and bright.

Easy to spot with banner. There's parking lots in front of it.

Simple and neat interior.

Menu.

German Sausages (Average)
Well, I think this is just a foot long sausages not real German one.
Its definitely overpriced by serving this portion.

p/s: You can view my dining experience in Ingolf's Kneipe @ Tanjung Tokong, Penang which serves authentic German food over HERE.

Spicy Aglio Olio with Chicken (Average)
Its too oily and too much chilli flakes which make me chocking after eating.

It has some games for you and your friends to play!

And also props... so pictures time!

We end our day with dinner in Sushi Zanmai at Gurney Paragon, cause I am carving for wasabi haha! And that's all for our day! Its so tiring because we are walking around the area to find the cafe under hot sun, but its fun after all! I hope there will be much more days and time we can gather together in the future. I am waiting the days when we meet again! I pray we will keep in touch, because the past and I hope our friendships lasts. Cheers to our friendship! All the best in our internship and Happy Chinese New Year in advance peeps! :)
