Melacca Food Hunt!

6:47 PM

I am blogging this after it happened 2-3 months ago. Sorry! :(
But I really enjoyed this trip with Guen and Jeng, all that make memories!
I still can't stop laughing when I remember the incident that happened to us HAHA!
Should plan again this kind of trip, time to create more memories before graduate!
From Penang to Ipoh to KL to Melacca. Whole journey takes us about 6 days.
One week!! Our weight all added on. Can't believe we have eaten so much.
This post is all about 3 girls hunting food in Melacca. Haha!

#1 Guest House / Hotel
River Song Residence, as named, located beside the famous Melacca River.
Its strategically located inside "UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE ZONE", offers a magnificent view of major historical landmarks from its balcony. Only few minutes walking distance away from famous Jonker Street in old China Town and nearby much amenties and local attractions. It is such an ideal place to grace Melaka Heritage City! Thanks Guen for finding this, they are just new opening in town when we went.

River Song Residence.

Lobby. Satellite TV with astro!

Step into indoor garden features a fish pond.

Kitchen

Melacca River just right at the back.

#2 Chung Wah Hainanese chicken rice balls
Chung Wah Hainanese Chicken Rice served the famous chicken rice balls.
Located just opposite the entrance of the Jonker Street. At the corner.
There are many stalls selling chicken rice balls but Chung Wah is the original and the longest the first coming out those cute rice balls by themselves. Don't get wrong. About the taste I dont know same or not. But Chung Wah sells only RM0.30 for one rice ball! Chickens I think taste were the same with Penang.

Creepy guy smilling LOL =.=

Miss the rice balls so much!

#3 Jonker 88
Located along the Jonker Street. Jonker 88 served variety of local food. Try out all local cuisine in one stall, good for those peole who are lazy to walk like me! Too much and we 3 girls can't try out so many food because we wanna try others stalls too. Stomachs are too small to fill them all!

Tourists overload!

Some kind of dessert made by gula Melacca.
Its Durian Cendol or Ice Kacang I forget. =.=
Forget the name. Not really like this...hmmm :/

#4 Ping Ping 品品
A local kopitiam near our guest house (River Song) which served famous oyster mee and others local foods. I like it much but it is very large portion for me. Good food must be shared! So utility sut wont be negative by eating too much, right? I forget the name but if you really want to try, you can download this picture in your phone and show to them when order. Easy! :) Of course you can ask for recommendation.

#5 Satay Celup
We went for the famous satay celup Capitol for the first day, but too bad they closed on thursday! And we tried another one located beside the capitol. Next day we went for Capitol satay celup again. And its opened at 5.30pm and even we reached at 5.30pm, there's already a long queue! Waited an hour to get ourselves a table, and one with satay stick is selling at RM0.90! Different price for the plate one. Price increased lol. For me, I think overall was average. Maybe overrated. Trying out is okay, but I still prefer Penang Lok Lok! :)

This one is NOT from capitol.

The Capitol satay celup.

Must drink more water after eating!

#6 Nancy's Kitchen
Located along the Jonker Walk. If you can't find it, just ask for local people help, they all are just friendly and nice to help you out! Recommended by our guest house's front desk, so we pay a visit and tried it out. It served famous Baba Nyonya Cuisine and I love it very much! Miss their foods...I want to visit again next time!

Just an ordinary house, but food served is thumb up!

The 3rd Generation!

Our Appetizer, Pai Tee / Top Hat! Only RM4.50 for 5!
This is really nice. I love it after my first bite! :)
Nyonya Laksa. Nom!

Curry Chicken, Chicken Curry. Slurp!

Green Bean Cake / Kuih Ku. Colourful!

#7 Nadeje @ Mahkota Parade
The Famous Crepe Cake. Nadeje has 2 outlets in Melacca and we went the new outlets opened in Mahkota Parade. I still remember how three of us find this Nadeje. Something silly and funny. Tired but happy! Ignore me, only Guen and Jeng know the joke haha! Have to wait about 10-15 minutes because it's full house sometimes.

Outdoor section. Nice and comfy especially at night.
Too hot for tea-time when afternoon and evening.

Interior. Spot the ceiling with their logo.

Variety choices of crepe cake. Try any of them.

Ordered their pasta. Not bad though.

Come with soup. Good place for lunch.

Okay. That's enough! Posting all photos makes me hungry!
Can't wait to visit Melacca again for their food especially their Baba Nyonya Cuisine.
If you found nice food in Melacca kindly share to me too! Sharing is caring! :)
This post takes me 3 hours to complete. LOL!
I will update more often. Thanks for reading! :)

P/S: Dare if you want to. Don't fear you'll fall. Take a chance 'cause it's better than never to chance it at all.
