Bangkok 2013: Shopping Experience of Mine in Bangkok City!

12:12 AM

I remember last time I travel to Bangkok I was in primary school. And my memories are not that clear. I almost forget. And this time, I can say that this is a whole new experience for me. 4D3N is not a long time for vacation especially so much places to visit and so much food to try! Quite regret I didn't do enough research on where to shop and how to shop in details. I did note down some cafes and restaurants that I want to try and we did pay a visit to some of them, although not all of them. *long wishlist* lol! So when I came back I thought of writing a post on my experience in Bangkok (this time), and our purpose is to shop and eat actually. I will certainly plan my schedule well next time I travel to bkk again, besides I hope this post will help some of you that will travel to Bangkok soon or in the coming months.

Where to stay?
I would recommend you all to stay in Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square (if you want to shop). The location is super strategic and conveniently located at the heart of the city, Siam Square. All the shopping malls are located nearly a walking distance from Novotel. And the BTS sky train also just behind the hotel. Besides, the room rates are not expensive at all!

Where to shop?
1.) Siam Square
I just regret I only shop in Siam Square on the last night of our trip. Cause I have run out of money and I wanted to buy so much things here! There are a lots of shop located in Siam Square, and open daily from 12noon - 9pm! For the first time I don't even know why so much shop closed so early and I just wanna start to shop lol! And I only knew after I asked the business hours from one of the shop. They quite lazy I think haha! Why Siam Square is the first of all on my list? I found out the clothes selling in Siam Square especially from the Siam Square Night Market are quite trendy! Some of the clothes are now on hits and what you saw in online boutique, you may find in the night market but you must seriously dig the clothes of every stalls *like dig a gold* haha! And also if you buy two or more pieces in a stalls (you can mix any pieces) you will get a wholesale price which even cheaper! The clothes selling in Siam Square quite suit my taste, but one point I would like to warn you is, the night market road is so narrow with full of people passing thru. So you must 100% keep an attention on your purse, mobile, passport and belongings when you're haggling, to prevent to be the next target of the thief.

2.) Platinum Mall
Platinum Fashion Mall is widely known as a shopping heaven for all the shoppers. FYI, there's new wing and old wing of Platinum. New wing are more on selling bags and shoes, also clothes on ground floor and first floor. While, the old wing consists of shop which selling more on clothes, on ground floor till third floor. 4th Floor is mainly on accessories. I would recommend to shop whole day in Platinum. Its open daily from 10am till 10pm...but all the shops only open after 11am...why they so lazy =.= There is so much shops and my advice is you have to scan thru quick and dig the clothes, you will find awesome stuffs in there! Their apparels will update to new stock every month. You buy two or three pieces (mix any pieces) in a shop you will get wholesale price! The best is to travel with few shopping kaki which you all can buy more and share to get cheaper price! And I recommend to bring your own empty luggage (not hand luggage or baggage) to Platinum. You can keep all your things in luggage without carry with your hands. *advice*

3.) MBK Mall
MBK Mall is also a well known shopping mall in bkk. But I found out their clothes selling in MBK are not that suit me, and just normal. But you can shop the electronic devices and phone casing at the 4th floor and 5th floor of MBK. There's so many casing selling which I think not consider very cheap but already cheaper compare to our country. MBK mall is so huge and we cant even shop finish...we just shop part of it and we are tired already lol. And same, the mall is open at 10am but the shop open only after 11am...=.=

Terminal 21 is a new concept mall with the theme of every floor represent a country. From Carribean (LG floor), Rome (G floor), Paris (M floor), Tokyo (1st floor), London (2nd floor), Istanbul (3rd floor), San Francisco (4th & 5th floor), to Hollywood (6th floor). There are also more than 600 urbanista shops selected from famous local shops around Thailand included Thai designer. Foodie and beverages are all on 4th and 5th floor, while 6th floor consist of high class entertainment. Pier 21 on 5th floor, the famous food court serve international dishes with very cheap price! Is a must to pay a visit and have a try! Well, I went Terminal 21 not for shopping but for photo shooting! Every floor representing different country theme even the toilet also follow the theme of the country! And I did pay a visit to all the toilets every floor! *OH EM GEE* yeah I'm serious I did! *awesome* The mall's concept pretty amazing! Even toilets I also can't stop myself from capturing photos! *rofl* A very nice place to take photos! If you want to shop, you can found many local designer's pieces which are quite nice also...but they are not cheap though.
You may check up my post of Terminal 21 at here!

5.) Siam Center & Siam Paragon
The will be my last choice and place to shop, cause everything at here is super expensive! But you can get the brand that are not available in our country. But its also a must visit place...as there are so many nice restaurants located inside the mall that you shouldn't miss them out!

Where to eat?!
I have so much to recommend! Do check out my previous post about the food in bkk in my blog!

I will recommend to shop with the sequence from Siam Square (the first shopping destination) till Siam Paragon (the last one) if you wanted to hunt for cheap and trendy clothes like me!
